Before leaving for Brazil and learning Portuguese, Guy was fascinated with the sound of that language. Inspired by the mouth music of Malcolm Dalglish, Guy wrote this song in a nonsense tongue borrowing sounds from several existing languages. It had no meaning. Which is why it was disconcerting when, after a show, a fan approached Guy and told him that she knew what the words meant. According to her the song says: “And when I do it with love, and when I say it with love, it shall be so.” We’re still not sure.

The bass drum sound is the gourd of the berimbau thumping against Guy's chest.
